Rosso di Toscana I.G.T.
This wine, produced for the first time in 1990, is the result of a careful selection of the best grapes of the Poggio al Chiuso farm owned by the Corti family since 1956.
The grapes come from the Le Cappelle estate from a particle of about 2 hectares with Franco-Limoso-Argilloso soil at an altitude of about 380 meters above sea level.
Alcoholic fermentation in cement vats with about three weeks on the skins, three pumpovers a day and two delestages. It is partly ripe in 225 liter oak barrels and partly in cement tanks where it completely carries out the malolactic fermentation. It remains in wood and in cement vats for at least 12 months, then refining in bottles for at least 9 months. Complex and full-bodied wine, it has a beautiful intense ruby red color.
Intense aromas of ripe fruit and jams combined with a pleasant spiciness stand out on the nose. In the mouth it is warm, soft and persistent with good flavor. Aging forecast 8-10 years.
